Abstract

Technology developments in the industrial era 4.0 provide convenience to various sectors. During the Covid-19 pandemic, like it or not, almost all activities were carried out online, both buy and sell transactions, business, education, health, and others also use technology to maintain their activities amidst activity restrictions during the pandemic. The convenience provided by technology is directly proportional to the risks that can occur. Crimes that originally required real action (actus reus) are no longer needed when cyber is the choice of the perpetrators to commit their crimes, but the consequences are like conventional crimes. Likewise, with the implementation of transactions where almost all activities make use of digital information, such as ordering, shipping tracking, payment methods, and others. This means that people are encounter option to be part of technological developments. The increase of internet users also provides a different perspective on the implementation of technology due to the absence of a verifiable age limit, where in the law when a virtual transaction occurs, the competence of the legal subject cannot be determined. Digitalization, which is so closely associated during a pandemic, will certainly become a habit in society that will continue to grow even though the pandemic has ended. For this reason, the law must be able to keep up with the developing of technology dynamically. The approach in this study uses qualitative methods using secondary data such as books, regulations, expert opinions, and reviewing various scientific journals. The results of data analysis are in the form of information obtained from systematic data analysis.
